After we gather your information, our installation expert will conduct an on-site visit to understand the type of system you’re after. We call this the "Information Phase." We take measurements, obtain your water pressure and flow rate, determine stop and waste (if you don't already have one), and timer locations. This phase results in your base estimate, which will include the estimated cost and your payment plan options.
Upon your acceptance of the estimate, we will move to the "Design Phase." In this phase, our design team will draft your property's blueprints and layout your sprinkler system, zone by zone. There is a design fee of $300 since it takes several hours to draft your personalized design using measurements and flow rates collected from the Information Phase. At the end of this phase, we will determine your actual price, contract, and payment terms, based on your finished blueprint design. Your design fee will be credited to your final project price if you continue to the next phase. Either way, your finished blueprint design will be yours to keep.
With the design complete, we head to the "Purchase & Planning Phase." We will collect the initial deposit, usually, 50% of the final build price, notify Blue Stakes to come and mark your property for utility lines before any work being performed, order all parts and materials to make sure everything is available, and schedule a project start date.
Next comes everyone's favorite phase, "Work in Progress." Here we will complete all the work we have agreed upon in the Design Phase. If any changes need to be made (for example, you decide to add a drip line to water flower pots on the driveway), we can usually accommodate, but it will require a drafted Change Order with adjusted price and time frame. Many residential sprinkler systems can be completed in an average of 1-4 days (depending on the size).
With your system taking shape and work wrapping up, we enter the "Completion Phase." Here we all make sure we have met contract terms and done a fantastic job. Our installation expert will do a final walk-through to answer any questions you have, show you how your system works, and ensure you understand how to operate your timer. After we get your stamp of approval, we will collect the remaining balance for your project.
Thought we were through? There is a bonus - our "Follow-up phase." With every system install, we want to make sure it is taken care of appropriately. To ensure your system is shut down correctly for the season, we’ll take care of your first sprinkler winterization. We will come back to make sure everything is running smoothly with your first spring start-up as well, all included in your install price.
